How to read your ebook

Your Blade Shed Books ebook is delivered as an EPUB file — the standard, open ebook format supported by nearly every e-reader and reading app. Once your download link arrives by email on release, save the EPUB to your device and follow the steps below for your preferred app.

Apple Books (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

  • Download the EPUB file to your Apple device.
  • Tap or click the file and choose to open it in Apple Books, or tap the Share icon and select Books.
  • The book is added to your library automatically and syncs across your Apple devices via iCloud.

Amazon Kindle (via Send to Kindle)

Kindle devices and apps support EPUB files through Amazon’s free Send to Kindle service.

  • Go to the Send to Kindle page on Amazon’s website, or use the Send to Kindle app or email address linked to your account.
  • Upload the EPUB file, or drag and drop it into the browser window.
  • The book is converted and delivered to your Kindle library, ready to read on any device where you’re signed in.

Kobo

  • On a Kobo e-reader: connect it to your computer with a USB cable, then copy the EPUB file into the device’s main folder. Safely eject, and the book appears in your library.
  • In the Kobo app: open the file with the app, or add it through the app’s import option to have it appear in My Books.

Android phones and tablets

Android doesn’t open EPUB files on its own, so install a free reading app first — popular choices include Google Play Books, Moon+ Reader, or Librera.

  • Download the EPUB file to your device.
  • Open your reading app and use its Import or Add option to select the file, or tap the downloaded file and choose your reading app.
  • With Google Play Books you can also upload the EPUB from a computer at the Play Books website, and it will sync to your phone.
